We are thrilled to bring something special for our September holiday Female Football Clinic - the clinic will be coached by former Matilda and Brisbane Roar legend, Lana Harch!

LANA HARCH BIOGRAPHY
Lana’s football journey in the Darling Downs began as a junior at West Wanderers Football Club where her skills set her apart and it was obvious that she was destined for great things. At age 13 Lana began playing for the Toowoomba Raiders Premier Women’s team in the Brisbane Premier League where her skills as a Striker caught the eye of the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) who selected her in 2000.

In 2000, Lana commenced playing for the QAS Sting team in the National League Competition where she continued until 2007. Lana first got the call up to represent her country in the U17 Australian team in 2000 and again earned the honour in 2002 when she was selected for the U19 Australian team.

In 2008, Lana landed her first contract with Queensland Roar as it was then known (becoming Brisbane Roar in 2009) where she sky rocketed to success. Lana made over 50 appearances for Brisbane Roar and was one of the first players to reach that milestone. Lana’s success included being named player of the match in the 2008/2009 W-League Grand Final earning the Julie Dolan medal, and in that same season she was named W-League Player of the Year.

As a result of Lana’s consistent and outstanding performances in the W-League, Lana received the call up for the Matildas in 2004 and subsequently made 24 appearances for Australia, during which she scored 5 goals. In 2013, Lana retired from professional football and returned to play for UQ FC in the National Premier League (NPL) in 2016, before joining Lions FC in 2018.

In 2021, Lana returned to her roots in Toowoomba to give back to her hometown and joined SWQ Thunder FC (to present in 2025) where she has been an incredible mentor to the female football players from our region, and continues to be a standout performer in the FQPL1 at 40 years of age.
